Meet Coconut at FDNL

coconut adoptable dogMeet Coconut. Corgi + Pomeranian Mix
4 yrs old • Male • 16 pounds

You put the love in the Coconut, and mix ‘em both together. You put the love in the Coconut and then you feel much better. A-dop-ter! Can you relieve my sad heartache? Let me get this straight. I said A-dop-ter! Now let me get this straight; You put the love in the Coconut and mix ‘em both together? And then we feel much better! Now I won’t give you a bellyache, but once I get to know you I’ll be pretty sweet on you. Like some sweet Coconut pudding I need time to simmer before I reach my full loveable consistency. I get along well with other dogs and adults, so children 10+ will be required in order to get a taste of my love medicine. I am learning this crate training thing and I am really getting the hang of it! I like slow and easy living as opposed to fast paced, so if you are into canoodling and book reading then I am your dog! Base jumping and parasailing? Not really my thing. If you bring the love, I’ll bring the Coconut and we can mix them both up!

4 years old-16lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes: microchip, neuter, reduced cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

banista adoptable catMeet Banista . Domestic Long Hair Mix
Senior • Female • Large
Banitsa is a beautiful girl with bunny soft fur which will need regular brushing to stay nice. She’s a senior kitty, but it’s not the years in your life but the life in your years that really counts. And this girl is lively and sweet. She just loves chin and neck rubs after you court her a bit. Then she’ll show you what a great cuddler she is. She loves brushing and petting and is looking for a mellow, loving family that will allow her to settle in at her own pace. Banitsa was found on a street in Southeast Portland but in the future she’d like to be found at your house. How about it?

6 Months Old • Female

Ginger is a spayed female, 6 months old (b. October 2013), Lionhead mix. She is one of three siblings; her brother and sister have been adopted and she hopes she will be soon! Ginger is a loving, snuggly girl with a love of all toys that roll and can be tossed around. She loves to follow us around and is curious about all things she encounters.

She has very good litter box habits and is used to full run of the house majority of each day. She enjoys remodeling (chewing holes in) boxes and burrowing under her blanket pile. She currently lives with a cat and a rabbit savvy 4 yr old child, both of whom visit her frequently so she is used to a busy loud house and friendly cats.

Got a Lap? Baby Cakes is ready to share!

baby cakesMeet Baby Cakes. Domestic Short Hair Torti
Small • Adult • Female

I’m Baby Cakes, and I’m just as sweet as I sound. I’m a very outgoing cat. My previous owner said I have “personality plus”€. I get along with everyone, as long as they’re happy petting me. I’m super cuddly. I’m definitely a lap cat. I’m an older cat at 7 years old, but I’m a petite torti with white and look fairly young for my age. I’ve never been sick either. I’ve been around lots of people, and I’ve lived with dogs. As long as you give me time to adjust I should be fine in a home with other pets. I am willing to go outside, but I prefer to be inside the house most of the time. I am 7 years old.

He was pretty sick, but after a vet visit and medication he has recovered and is doing very well. He is a sweet and loving boy and has adjusted easily to the changes in his living situation and to the new people around him. Although his background is a mystery, we are happy to have him.

Got Pet Hair? We love this Gadget!

power paw vacuum toolGot pets? Then you probably have pet hair! I vacuum and clean regularly. And yet I always find pet hair in places I don’t think of, and some I do.

One place I need to be really vigilant about is our bed quilt. The cat curls up with us at night but my husband has allergies so I need to keep the hair to a minimum. What’s a mom to do? Wash the quilt every week? I think not!!

The other challenges are the hems of curtains where the cat runs behind and out again. And our bed skirt where our dog keeps going under the bed and out again.

So here is my trick…This small and relatively inexpensive little gadget that attaches to my vacuum hose. It has a rotating brush that pulls up the hair, but doesn’t suck in the fabric of the bedding or curtains. Truly my go to gadget for housecleaning with pets!! It’s inexpensive enough to be a stocking stuffer for your pet-loving friend, or just something to add to your own tool set: Power Paw Vacuum Tool

Warm you Heart and you Lap with Blaze

Blaze adoptable dogMeet Blaze. Pekingese + Tibetan Spaniel Mix
2 yrs old • Male • 17 pounds

Whew! Can you feel the heat? That’s right! You can feel my love burning right through the screen… and this is only the beginning; after I find my comfort zone and adjust to my new living environment you will have a bonfire of love and companionship… toasty hearts you’ll have all winter long with me by your side, or on your lap! I have a jealousy that burns within, so I would love to be the only lover in the house. But I do get along with the other dogs here in my play group. I just like them to know that I am the boss! I have been doing really well with my crate training and I get along with cats just fine. Kids 10+ would be ideal for me because they know how to treat a little light like me with respect. So get your kindling in order and prepare to feel the heat of this Blaze in your heart. Flame on!

Aperture would love a quiet home for the Holidays

aperture adoptable catMeet Aperture . Domestic Short Hair Mix
Large • Adult • Female

Hi, I am Aperture and aren’t I the cutest kitty you’ve ever seen? I love affection and I flop over for tummy rubs, and give kisses and gentle nibbles. I LOVE to play, especially with mouse toys or ball toys that rattle. People often comment about my chirping, trilling, and loud purr–apparently I’m irresistible. I can’t see well out of my right eye, so I get startled easily and I’m very afraid of other cats. I’d prefer a quiet home without other pets and will make an entertaining, sweet, and super adorable companion.

Need a Lil Bit of Love?

Lil Bit Adoptable RabbitMeet Lil Bit
6-7Months Old • Adult • Male

Lil Bit is a 7 or 8 month old neutered male. He’s calm and friendly, but reserved in his play as he doesn’t like to get far from his pen, even though he is given the opportunity every day. He has shared a room with an older neutered male Hotot for several months and they seem to like each other’s company, but are not bonded. Lil Bit might do well in a home with older children. He has had no exposure to other animals, although there are cats in the home.

You can arrange to meet us or learn more by contacting his foster home: mkmarvin@frontier.com.
